Urgent - deadline 18th April, 5.00pm

Five has announced a new scheme, FIVE BITES, to enable emerging film-makers to produce a documentary short to air on the main evening news bulletin. There will be 5 × 3-minute films on topical domestic news subjects.

It is run in partnership with DFG , the largest provider of documentary training in the UK. They will provide full production support and a small director's fee.

As you might expect there's a remit to reflect the "cultural richness and diversity of Britain".
