Swansea Bay Film Festival

Hi everyone!

Sorry to write such a big self promoting first post but to our suprise and delight we won the Swansea Bay Film Festival Best Film Noir Award!!

To say that we had absolutly no idea we were in for a chance of winning may sound like the usual modest rubbish that people say but in this case totally true (the other nominees were all superb with far more experience beneath their belts) and so we'd actually joined the guests up stairs on the balcony meaning when our names was called then not only did it take us an age to get to the stage but I also fell down the stairs in excitement...

Swansea Bay Film Festival Award

Of course we couldn't of done it without our key players: Gareth Ward (A.D.), Rachel Logan (Proj Manager & all round awesomeness) and Ben Wilson (Composer); my actors: Geraint Connors, Dionne Glen, Hannah Shepheard, Nathan Diaz and Saqib Aziz; and all the people that helped in one way or another to ensure it got made: William Pughe (for the expertise and Steadicam), Monica and Robin Dale (for transport, food and support), Matt Fisher and Jenny Smith (for the imdb write ups), Crystal from Texas (for pimping us in the public voting sections), Stuart Neil & Wendy Key Bright (for the inspiration and constant encouragement) and of course my friends and family.

Thank you also to Binda Singh for the huge amount of enthusiasm and planning that has been put into the Festival itself (it blew Cardiff's festival out of the water) and the judges for being a little daring with their selection (non linear psychological noir dramas are not known for attracting prizes!).

Finally I just wanted to add a thank you to 'Scarpaci/ Kelly Productions' for an unbelievably insightful week of seminars - the amount offered by these three people was beyond generous and I hope one day I can both somehow return their generosity but also make them proud with what I've gained from it.

Alun
