Would just like to add "more Info"... The festival is running under the title "Portsmouth Screen: The Festival of Film and New Media" and will happening on 10-19 November.

This is the second year the event is running and there is a wide range of events. Please visit the homepage fo the event: www.portsmouthscreen.co.uk for links to the various screenings, workshops, seminars and competitions running as part of the week.

If you are a film or video artist woiroling in very short form, then you can still submit work of sixty seconds or less to the Sixty Second Fiml festival (www.sixtysecond.com ).

Local short film and video makers can submit films of up to 15 minutes to Shorts: Cut, a show case for new shorts amde in the region (www.portsmouthscreen.co.uk/shorts/)

Horror Fest is holding three days of screenings and will feature short and feature length independent Horror films from around the world, including the Multi Award winning "Broken" (www.horrofest.co.uk, www.whatisbroken.com) and the the energertic amongst you, there is a 48 hour film challenge (www.DVmission.com)

Corrections: - the Horror Fest link should be www.horrorfest.co.uk/ and DV Mission 48 hour challenge should be www.blue-rooms.com/dv-mission-06/

Apologies

Would just like to follow up with information about the 2008 festival, now running under the name "The Portsmouth Film Festival". As ever there will be a local Gala premiere, screenings of feature films and short films, workshops and talks as well as a varied host of fringe events. This year we're adding a special event of a giant drive in cinema on Southsea Common, in association with PyjamaPictures.

If you're a film-maker based in Hampshire, West Sussex or the Isle of Wight you can submit you short film to Shorts::Cuts
