UKFilm announced today that Labour MP Michael Meacher will be offering his colleagues the opportunity on 14 June to view a controversial video about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. "Loose Change" posits that the attacks were perpetrated by the U.S. government. Some specific claims include:
–That the collapses of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers were due to pre-planted explosives, not to the damage and fires caused by the airliner attacks.
– That the Pentagon was not struck by an airliner filled with passengers.
– That United flight 93 did not crash in a rural field after a heroic struggle by passengers to retake the plane from the hijackers, but instead landed safely in Cleveland, Ohio.

Of course, these claims are absurd and are not supported by evidence in the video, But when it comes to 9/11, MP Meacher has never let facts stand in the way of an entertaining conspiracy theory.
