Anyone going to this year's IBC? The main theme is Digital Cinema, including screenings on the Sony 4k projector. PLUS first 4k footage from the Red One sensor (which apparently is being downconverted to 4k!)

I'd love to go to IBC in Amsterdam but unfortunately I can't make it. Are you planning to go, Stephen?

PS - Sorry it's been a bit quiet 'round here recently... I've been moving house, leaving a job and doing lots of re-decorating of my new house! Things will pick up again soon, I promise.

Hey Jack-and-peeps,

IBC was VERY cool!

The Red One Camera looks like it should be absolutely awesome. They were showing 4k footage and what I saw and heard from others is that this camera is something totally unique. It seems leagues ahead of the expensive cameras from the competition.

Hope you don't mind me plugging (not like it'd be the first time) but I'd like to invite anyone who's interested in this over to www.redcamera.net - I've updated things quite a bit, posted a couple of articles and am making a push to try to get UK filmmakers talking about how this camera could revolutionise the industry for us (and I'm not exaggerating with that statement either!)

Graeme Nattress, a Brit who is working on the Red team (and who some might know from his FCP plug-ins) checks the forum regularly and has said he will answer any qustions that he can about the camera.

So come on over and get chatting people! These are exciting times.

Hi Stephen,

Cool, I'm glad you enjoyed IBC. I kinda wished I could have gone. That's great news that you've got Graeme Nattress to post replies on your forum. Good work!

Talk soon,
Jack
