Glossy DV Article

Stephen W

Don't bother trying to make DV "look like film". Instead, try to make DV look like "glossy DV"

Now there's a sensible statement if ever I heard one :)

The number of times I hear "How can I make my DV-shot movie look like film?" drives me mad (the answer is "You can't"). If you want a film look, shoot on film. If you can't afford that then play to the strengths of the DV format and make it look as good and as stylish as it can, but don't try to emulate film. Good advice Jack!

Another question I seem to keep getting asked is "What resolution is film". In fact I'm hearing that so often now I've gone a posted up an article here.
